Oh, what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry EVERYTHING TO GOD IN PRAYER...

I have a friend who won the Grammy Music Educator of the Year, chosen from 3,300 nominees in the past few years, out of 50 states.
We were sharing openly about church music and the sadness surrounding how so many pastors have no clue about the importance of music in worship, much less how to hire effective, qualified musicians who know what they are doing.
To quote a great church leader who is now preaching in Heaven,
"Everything rises and falls on leadership."
I agree.

Finding a good fit takes time and discernment.
Friendliness, warmth, and caring people willing to help you in your journey.
Young people who can relate to your children and family.
Sunday school teachers who are dedicated and have their student's best interests at heart.
Ministers and lay people with a servant's heart.
Children need to feel like they belong and Sunday School and other ministries make a huge difference in the lives of children and teenagers.
I am amazed at how many churches fail to mention that they have a music program. Do they offer organized sports and activities that your your kids will resonate with?
Artist series, music, art, and dance should be a part of every church.
Trust and rapport are extremely important. Do you sense love, acceptance and sincerity with ministers and support staff?
Many organizations must evaluate how they embrace children and teens diagnosed with Autism and others. Very few churches, synagogues, mosques, and other religious organizations have a space for these precious young people. Arthur George Scott, PsyD, has a passion for all children. Every child should be able to express their feelings, thoughts, and emotions through Fine Arts, including Music, Art, and Dance. The curriculum is available for all organizations interested in developing an ongoing program for Special Needs / Autistic children whose diagnosis limits their life experience.
